KELLY MCGONIGAL
Director of Institutional Giving
I’m so grateful to be a part of GCO’s team with its focus on finding lasting solutions to problems in our communities. It’s a privilege to be able to connect people with our mission and to work to create an environment where people are free to seize opportunities and show compassion toward one another.
As Development Manager, Kelly McGonigal is responsible for GCO’s fundraising operations.
Kelly graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies. Prior to joining Georgia Center for Opportunity, Kelly was Development Manager at the Atlas Network in Washington, DC, where she oversaw their direct mail and foundation fundraising programs and played a key role in the organization’s budget growth. She previously interned at the Cato Institute and Freedom Alliance. She has also participated in summer programs organized by The Fund for American Studies, the Foundation for Economic Education, and Young America’s Foundation.
Kelly is a native of Northern Virginia, but now lives in Cumming, Georgia with her husband Shane and two sons, Michael and John.
