John Hill, recently hired as the Family Program Manager at Georgia Center for Opportunity (GCO), brings a profound commitment to community building and cultural engagement to his role. His passion for cultural inclusivity, particularly with the Latino community, was honed through his collegiate studies. It was during this time that John deepened his understanding and commitment to cross-cultural connections—a journey that not only shaped his professional path but also his personal life.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry Leadership from Lee University, John embarked on a decade-long mission in Guatemala, where he dedicated himself to a range of community and pastoral services. His work there included orphan care, church planting, discipleship ministry, nutritional education, and global renewal coaching, illustrating his comprehensive approach to community support and his capability to lead and inspire.
In his new role at the Georgia Center for Opportunity, John leverages this extensive background in community service and global renewal coaching to enhance and expand the Family team’s programs. His expertise in fostering inclusive environments and his profound understanding of cultural dynamics are instrumental in addressing the diverse needs of the families GCO serves.
Outside of his professional endeavors, John is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, hiking, and planning the next family adventure.
His life’s work is marked by a commitment to serving wholeheartedly and loving sacrificially, principles that guide both his personal and professional endeavors.
