Raising Highly Capable Kids
Upcoming Workshops
Raising Highly Capable Kids (RHCK) is an evidence-based workshop series designed to empower parents and caregivers with practical tools, strategies, and confidence to support their children’s healthy development. Grounded in the 40 Developmental Assets framework developed by the Search Institute, RHCK focuses on building the essential internal strengths and external supports that children and youth need to thrive—academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.
In collaboration with Rezilient Kidz, the creators of the RHCK curriculum, GCO helps deliver the program in ways that honor each community’s unique strengths, values, and needs.
Workshops are offered each fall and spring in partnership with local Georgia organizations (schools, nonprofits, churches, and other community organizations). Workshops meet in person for 10 weekly sessions and provide a safe space to connect, learn, and grow with other parents. The experience wraps up with a graduation celebration to honor families’ commitment and growth along the journey.
