Raising Highly Capable Kids Partnership Opportunities
We collaborate with local organizations to bring Raising Highly Capable Kids (RHCK) workshops to families across Georgia. RHCK is more than a workshop—it’s a connection point that leads to stronger families, more connected neighborhoods, and local support systems.
- About the Program
What is Raising Highly Capable Kids?
RHCK is an evidence-based, 10-session parenting program rooted in the 40 Developmental Assets—proven building blocks every child needs to grow into a confident, caring, and capable adult.
Developed by Rezilient Kidz, the program is implemented in communities across Georgia through our partnerships with schools, nonprofits, churches, and other community organizations. GCO works alongside these local partners to tailor the program and meet families where they are.
We provide step-by-step support to help your organization implement RHCK in a way that meets your community’s unique needs.

Common Questions
Can I Switch Schools Mid-Year?
It depends on your school and district. Some options allow mid-year transfers, while others follow traditional enrollment periods. Contact each school’s office to learn if mid-year transfers are possible.
Can you transfer to a public school outside your zone in Georgia?
Families in Georgia may be able to transfer their child to another public school within their local district if space is available. Georgia does not currently allow public school transfers outside a student’s assigned district. Parents must apply through their local school system.
Are charter schools free in Georgia?
Yes. Charter schools in Georgia are public schools, so they are tuition-free for families. They may offer different teaching models, school cultures, or academic focuses than traditional public schools.
How do charter schools work in Georgia?
Charter schools in Georgia are tuition-free public schools that often offer smaller learning environments or a distinct academic focus. Like other public schools, they’re open to all students, but families usually must apply directly to the school. If more students apply than there are seats available, the school may use a lottery to fill openings.
Does Georgia offer state-funded scholarships for private school?
Yes. Georgia offers scholarship programs that may help eligible families pay for private school or other approved education expenses. These can include tax credit scholarships, special needs scholarships, and the Georgia Promise Scholarship.
What does homeschooling require in Georgia?
To homeschool in Georgia, parents must file a Declaration of Intent, provide at least 180 days of instruction, teach five required subjects, and have students complete standardized testing every three years beginning after third grade.
