John Hill
John Hill serves as the Family Program Manager at the Georgia Center for Opportunity (GCO), where he advances family-centered programs and community partnerships designed to create sustainable, long-term transformation across Georgia. His work focuses on strengthening families and equipping local partners to deliver solutions that foster stability, dignity, and opportunity.
John’s commitment to community work began with a ministry intern leadership program he completed alongside his undergraduate studies. After earning a bachelor’s degree in ministry leadership from Lee University, he served more than a decade in Guatemala, working closely with families and local leaders through a holistic, research-informed approach. In his work, John helped lead initiatives focused on orphan care, leadership-driven church planting, discipleship aimed at helping individuals reach their highest potential in God, community-based nutritional education, leadership development within churches and community organizations, and global renewal coaching to promote sustainable, healthy ministry.
Outside of work, John enjoys time with his family—hiking, traveling, reading, hosting, and planning their next adventure together. He and his wife, Amanda, are raising five children in a home rooted in faith, purpose, and service.
GCO’s mission deeply resonates with John’s personal story. Having experienced poverty as both material lack and relational brokenness, he is passionate about restoring families as the foundation of thriving communities.
