Kristin Stewart

Katelyn Stewart has served at the Georgia Center for Opportunity (GCO) since February 2022, first as a Family Program Facilitator and now as the Raising Highly Capable Kids Program Manager. In her current role, she supports family-focused initiatives that equip parents and caregivers with tools, resources, and relationships that strengthen families and improve long-term outcomes for children. Her work centers on collaboration, program coordination, and support for families as they pursue stability and opportunity.

Katelyn holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Young Harris College and a master’s degree in child and family sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Katelyn is married to her husband, McKade, and they have two children, Luke and Lainey, along with their golden retriever, Banks. Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her family, staying active through running and exercise with her husband, and expressing creativity through sewing and crafting.

GCO’s mission to advance solutions that increase opportunity and provide Georgia families with a durable path out of poverty strongly inspires Katelyn. She is deeply committed to supporting families by honoring their dignity, building on their strengths, and giving them practical tools that promote success.
