Jessica Snellings
Jessica Snellings is a Research Analyst at the Georgia Center for Opportunity (GCO). She supports the public safety initiative by conducting thorough background research, performing in-depth statistical analyses, and writing on important public safety topics. In addition, Jessica regularly lends her data analysis and research expertise to her colleagues.
Prior to GCO, Jessica worked for education nonprofits. In those roles, she tackled issues facing teachers, supported college scholarships for Atlanta public school students, and created a first-of-its-kind teacher compensation dashboard. While Jessica no longer solely focuses on education solutions, her time in the education sector enables her to approach problem-solving in a creative, flexible manner.
Jessica holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology and a master’s degree in educational research from Georgia State University. Outside of work, she loves to read, knit, play video games, and watch TV. She plans to take up journaling this year.
Jessica has always wanted to make a positive impact using her skill set, and GCO’s mission allows her to do that. Whether her work helps make communities safer, enables better education for all Georgia’s students, or connects families to the resources they need, Jessica finds fulfillment in all of it.
