Candace Landers

Candace Landers is the Accounting Manager for the Georgia Center for Opportunity (GCO). She has a strong track record of improving financial processes, strengthening internal controls, and delivering accurate reporting that supports sound decision-making and organizational growth.

Prior to joining GCO, Candace held several senior finance roles. She led financial reporting, managed high-performing accounting teams, and partnered with executive leadership to improve financial visibility and operational efficiency. Her expertise includes cash management, GAAP compliance, budgeting and forecasting, and building scalable accounting processes that support growing organizations.

Candace studied political science at Morris Brown College and continues to pursue her education while advancing her career in accounting and operations.

Candace lives in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts at Symphony Hall with her youngest son, thrift shopping, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Candace was drawn to GCO’s efforts to remove barriers so that every person, regardless of race, past mistakes, or the circumstances of their birth, has access to a quality education, fulfilling work, and a healthy family life. In her role, she helps ensure that GCO’s resources are managed with accuracy, transparency, and accountability so the organization can continue expanding its impact for individuals and families across Georgia.
