Amber Gorman
Amber Gorman is the Program Manager for the Georgia Center for Opportunity’s (GCO) BETTER WORK program in Columbus, Georgia, where she fights poverty through empowerment.
In her role with GCO, Amber provides day-to-day leadership for BETTER WORK programming, including support for and facilitation of Jobs for Life training sites, volunteer engagement, and employer and community partnerships. Her work focuses on relationship-based, experiential approaches that make collaboration easier, more effective, and more meaningful. She is also a certified Jobs for Life Facilitator and a Mental Freedom Practitioner.
Amber is a wife and a proud mom of two girls. Through her work and leadership, she strives to set an example for her children of what it looks like to serve others faithfully and live out the calling to love and support the community. When Amber isn’t working, she enjoys gardening, painting, cooking, and thrift shopping.
Amber’s lived experience drives her passion for empowering others—she seeks to help people overcome the same barriers she once faced.
