Jason Gaby
Jason Gaby is a Research Fellow supporting the Policy Research and Development Team at the Georgia Center for Opportunity (GCO). He works extensively on GCO’s revolutionary Benefit Cliff Model, providing technical support, quality assurance, and product enhancement through computer programming and modeling. He also performs data analysis and adds economic insights to GCO’s policy research regarding family, poverty, and economic development.
Before working with GCO, Jason was a technology consultant at Ernst & Young, helping develop automated tools that deployed business software in the cloud infrastructure for Fortune 500 companies. In that role, Jason learned what was required for a professional software development life cycle as he supported the end-to-end process of application development.
Jason earned bachelor’s degrees in natural science from Covenant College and in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech. He also earned a master’s degree in economics from Georgia Tech.
Jason spends his weekends enjoying cocktails carefully crafted by his wife Jessica and playing with his two daughters, Eliza and Lydia. Considering the importance of family in his own life, Jason feels great purpose in supporting GCO’s efforts to empower impoverished families to find long-term economic flourishing. Jason believes that his work on both the Benefit Cliff Model and economic policy analysis provides the foundation for policy solutions that enrich lives.
