Hannah Heck

Hannah Heck is an attorney, policy consultant, and education advocate focused on expanding opportunity for children and families across Georgia. She has partnered with organizations including Georgia Center for Opportunity, American Federation for Children, and Georgia CAN to advance school choice and educational opportunities for students with special needs. She serves on the board of Atlanta Mission and chairs the Georgia Charter Action Fund.

Hannah previously chaired the Georgia Charter Schools Association, served on Governor Nathan Deal’s Education Reform Commission, and co-founded Westside Atlanta Charter School, where she remained on the board for more than a decade. Earlier in her career, she was Policy Director for Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. 

Hannah occasionally contributes commentary to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and is currently writing a memoir about raising her son Teddy, who has Down syndrome.  She and her husband Jeff, co-founder of Monday Night Brewing and Southstone Holdings, moved to Atlanta’s Westside to help plant Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church, where she remains active. They live in Atlanta with their four children. Hannah earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her law degree from Emory University School of Law.
